- My name is Sarah. Most of my friends call me "SarahP". And I am fat. I have been fat all my life. I mean since I was a little girl I have been overweight. I had a childhood of kids making fun of me.... a high school experience the same. No boyfriend. No athletics. And in my adult life, you don't have people make fun like when you are a kid, but you still get the stares, the whispers, the embarrassment. And now I have the body aches along with it. I have always said that I have never let my weight hold me back from things. Going to parties, dancing, the beach, events. But really it has. I would love to be able to run. I would love to be able to play a sport...just for fun. I would love to be able to go to a restaurant and not "size up" the seats to see if I will fit. I mean that's not living. I do have my faith...my faith in God and His son Jesus who gives me strength. And I have realized that my life is ultimately and truly solely to glorify Him.I want my life to make a difference...for Him. I am hoping that my journey to lose weight will not only affect my life, but the lives of others. I CAN do all things with His strength.
